by GCEL

The Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) Executive Leadership team hosted a Digital Economy briefing session on October 26, 2017 in Abu Dhabi with a GCEL delegation led by  Dr. Sergio Arzeni,  GCEL Executive Member and President of the International Network for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (INSME).

ADGM is a broad-based international financial center for local, regional and international institutions.  Its three independent authorities – the Registration Authority, the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) and ADGM Courts – ensure that a business-friendly environment operates in line with international best practices of major financial centers across the world.

During the meeting,  GCEL presented how the  Digital Economy Platform  tools will serve to create greater trade efficiency and transparency that will assist financial institutions to reduce underwriting costs, minimize credit and transaction risks as well as decrease asset impairment losses.  With real time access to validated trade related information, the financial industry will be able to increased its financial services to SMEs.
