GCEL completes the United Kingdom Shipment Efficiency (SEA) Assessment

High level officials convened in London on October 16, 2017 to complete the United Kingdom SEA report that provides concrete recommendations to grow U.K. trade.  The attending case study team members included Lord Waverley, U.K. Parliament, Mr. Simon Spier, Head of International Trade of techUK, Mr. Bob Collier, Deputy Director of Exports and Investment, Mrs. Lesley Bachelor, Director General of the Insitute of Exports and International Trade,  and Professor Nikos Nomikos from Cass Business School.

The United Kingdom SEA was performed in cooperation with GCEL and is a comprehensive diagnostic assessment of trade efficiency based on what technology makes possible today.

The SEA results showed that 96.8 percent of U.K. businesses have defined the new digital tools required to increase their global competitiveness in order to reduce annual international and domestic trade cost by USD 128 billion, increase their trade by USD 165 billion, and create more than 1.1 million jobs.
