The delegation team for GCEL was invited to participate in the inaugural event of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on October 24-26, 2017. The event was held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and inaugurated under the leadership of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, Deputy Premier and the Minister of Defense, Chairman of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs and Chairman of the Public Investment Fund.
The FII was designed around the three key pillars of shifting centers of power, the new investment paradigm, and innovation for a better world. The Public Investment Fund is Saudi Arabia’s main investment arm and is one of the world’s leading sovereign wealth funds.
The initiative is expected to be a game-changing platform that explores new trends, opportunities, challenges and emerging industries that will shape the world economy and investment environment over the coming decades.
GCEL presented how the Digital Economy can assist countries to achieve their aim to diversify their economics by providing new innovative tools to digitize the B2B marketplace and grow the real economy of manufacturing, agriculture and financial services sectors.
