ABU DHABI EMBRACES TECHNOLOGY TO ADVANCE FINANCIAL INCLUSION

October 26, 2017

On October 26, 2017, the Executive Leadership team of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) hosted a Digital Economy briefing session in Abu Dhabi with a GCEL delegation led by Dr. Sergio Arzeni, GCEL Executive Member and President of the International Network for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (INSME).

ADGM is an international financial center serving local, regional, and global institutions through its Registration Authority, Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA), and ADGM Courts, operating in line with international best practices.

During the session, GCEL presented how the Digital Economy Platform can improve trade efficiency and transparency, enabling financial institutions to reduce underwriting costs, lower credit and transaction risks, and minimize asset impairment losses.

By providing real-time access to validated trade information, the platform can also help financial institutions expand financial services and improve access to funding for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
