GCEL’s European Advisory Board Appoints New Executives from Germany, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Spain

GCEL’S EUROPEAN ADVISORY BOARD APPOINTS NEW EXECUTIVES FROM GERMANY, THE UNITED KINGDOM, SWITZERLAND, AND SPAIN

During a strategy session held in London on December 8–9, 2017, GCEL’s European Advisory Board appointed several new members to strengthen its leadership and regional expertise.

The newly appointed members included H.E. Dirk Niebel, former German Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development; Lord John Waverley, Member of the House of Lords; Mr. Alexis Lautenberg, former Swiss Ambassador and Chairman of the Swiss Finance Council; Mr. Andrew Fraser, Senior Advisor to Mitsubishi; and Mr. Juan Roure, Professor of Entrepreneurship at IESE Business School.

Also participating in the session was Ms. Sandra Fuentes-Berain, former Mexican Ambassador and member of the Americas Logistics Council Advisory Board.

Welcoming the new appointments, GCEL Co-Chairman Captain Samuel Salloum emphasized the important role the Board will play in shaping strategy and supporting the deployment of the Digital Economy across Europe.
