INDUSTRY EXPERTS FROM SOUTH KOREA, THE PHILIPPINES, TAIWAN, AND THAILAND JOIN GCEL ASIA ADVISORY BOARD

Several prominent industry and policy experts joined the GCEL Asia Advisory Board during a strategy session held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on January 6, 2018.
The newly appointed members included Dr. Choong-Yong Ahn, Chairman of the Korea Commission for Corporate Partnership; Dr. Filemon A. Uriarte, Member of the National Research Council of the Philippines; Dr. Ruth Banomyong of Thammasat University; and H.E. Ambassador Ching-Long Lu, former Taiwan Representative to France.
These appointments expanded the Board’s regional representation, complementing existing members from China, Singapore, Japan, Australia, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
The Asia Advisory Board is expected to grow to 32 experts representing key fields including economic and trade development, technology, finance, insurance, logistics, cargo security, food safety, disaster response, and academia, providing strategic guidance to support GCEL’s Digital Economy initiatives across the region.
